Using an easy and versatile technique, and the step-by-step instructions, you will learn to create 20 projects on a variety of surfaces. Great for crafters of any age or skill level, many of the projects can be completed in an afternoon.

Along the same lines, but for a more advanced skill level, Collage Lost and Found uses vintage ephemera (which is a fancy way of saying "really cool old stuff") to make projects to display or wear. The author includes step-by-step instructions for a "plethora of projects" including greeting and business cards, books, wall art, jewelry, and home accessories.

Make a Nature T Shirt Craft

Here is an idea from Family Fun's website. So, on one of your nature walks this summer, collect flower and leaves and rocks and then give this wearable art work project a try!

What You Need: Solid color cotton t-shirt; Assorted natural objects ( look for items with distinctive shapes); Rubber gloves; Spray bottle; Bleach; Plastic trash bag; Bucket; Water

How To Make It

Lay the shirt outdoors on a hard, flat surface, such as cement, away from anything that might be damaged by bleach.
Place the plastic bag inside the t-shirt to prevent the bleach from bleeding through to the back of the shirt.
Arrange the leaves, flowers and other objects in a simple design on the shirt. Only the silhouettes of the items will show, so objects with distinctive shapes work best. If there's a breeze, place stones on the objects to hold them in place.
This step is for adults only: Wearing rubber gloves, spray the shirt lightly with bleach around all the edges of the design. Let the shirt set until you see the color start to change—about 1 minute or so. Carefully remove and dispose of the flowers and leaves.
Submerge the shirt in a bucket of water and thoroughly rinse it. This stops the bleach from eating through the fabric. Put it through the washer and dryer, and your masterpiece is ready to wear. Note: Be sure to label the spray bottle, or empty and rinse it immediately.

Tips:: - Shirts in bright hues of pink, blue and green work best.; - Another ideas is to use white or light colored shirts and paint in spray bottles.
