Wireless Internet access is now available at all 9 St. Joseph County Public Library locations. Unlike most other Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) HotSpots around the area, the Library's access points are entirely free to the public.

Patrons bringing in their wireless-equipped laptops or PDAs will not only have the convenience of Internet service at their fingertips, but access to the same resources, which in the past, were only available on the Library's own computers.

The high-speed wireless network are can be accessed during each location's normal library hours. A flier explaining how to make the connection is available at each Wi-Fi enabled SJCPL location and also in a PDF document here.

In 1999, the St. Joseph County Public Library was one of the first public libraries in the country to offer Wi-Fi access with the opening of its Centre Township Branch.
