- You can hear a story over the phone 24 hours a day at 282-4660, brought to you by the Children’s Services Department. Picture books, folk tales or poems several minutes long are read by library staff persons or volunteers. The selection changes once a week. For information about the selections, you can contact the Main Children’s Room, 282-4607 during open hours.
Mock Newbery Club
Join us for SJCPL's Mock Newbery Club. For readers ages 9-14. We'll be reading a variety of books eligible to win the 2009 Newbery Medal. Be ready to read a lot and talk about what makes the writing good--or not. Registration required.
