Minneapolis, Minnesota is the home town of Mr. Larkin who attended Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. receiving his B..A. in Fine Arts with a specialization in printmaking in 1975. He received his M. F. A. from Penn State University in 1977. He moved to South Bend that same year and has been teaching printmaking, drawing, and painting at IUSB since.
